St Joseph's MHIDS also provides an outreach community service from our Plaza office in Swords.
St Joseph's MHIDS plan for the future hopes to develop its service more into the community in line with primary care developments and further enhance the community component of the mental health intellectual disability team to meet the needs of the Vision for Change with regard to people with a Mental Health & intellectual disability for HSE Dublin North.
St Joseph's is governed by a management team which includes the Area Director of Nursing, Executive Clinical Director and Service Manager all reporting to the Area Manager of HSE Dublin North.
St Joseph's MHIDS also includes comprehensive resource Centres on St Itas campus and within Clonmethan Lodge for day activities.
The client base includes community home care, community residential and hospital based Residential care.
A large component of the service users catered for have a dual diagnosis of mental health in addition to their intellectual disability.
