Trinity College Dublin would like to invite candidates to apply for the role of Head of Academic Practice: Teaching & Learning ASD within Trinity Teaching & Learning, Academic Services Division. The Head of Academic Practice: Teaching and Learning will lead a team of professional academic developers, education support officers, student interns, and teaching fellows. The post holder will make a significant contribution to shaping Trinity's future teaching, learning and assessment environment. They will provide leadership in and take full responsibility for the development and delivery of a pedagogical centre for excellence in teaching and learning. They will inform Trinity's overall Teaching and Learning Strategy and the future of assessment practices across all Trinity academic disciplines. They will proactively promote a professional development culture and act as a centre of expertise, advising and contributing to the College's wider objectives in respect of its education provision and achieving it strategic goals. They will be required to manage across an experienced team of professional staff and work closely with College Officers and academic staff, providing exceptional leadership and expertise in developing further teaching and learning professional practices at Trinity College. Reporting to the Academic Secretary and working closely with the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, the post holder will work to develop and deliver a truly world class professional development education service for staff and students. Post status: Permanent Contract Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Senior Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€86,268-€111,402 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
