The successful candidate will have excellent growth opportunities as this ambitious, fast-growing firm, continues to expand.Why apply with Sonas?Experts in M&E RecruitmentWe can provide insights to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerOne point of contact – We can manage all your applications, interviews and negotiationsWe will get your CV seen by the right hiring managersResponsibilities:Providing Manufacturing Engineering support to the Production and team in terms of planning and designing new processes in a manner that can be easily implemented.Manufacturing of prototypes and validation of product within specification.Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes, and methods.Identifying and driving improvement initiative to reduce costs and improve on time delivery.Responsible for applying, maintaining, and improving lean manufacturing procedures.Playing a role in developing processes and implementation of a new ERP system.Actively supporting the Engineering team to ensure task flexibility.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Document and maintain work instructions.Work with outside suppliers to enhance, improve and solve problems.Evaluate process for most cost-effective manufacturing process.Participate in projects to meet department goals and objectives.Understand product, processes & equipment and provide direction on dispositioning of product through process steps.Ensure compliance with industry test methods and standards.Understanding of reliability theory and principles and their application to The Company products and processes.Drive data and root cause analysis with a view to problem solving and continuous improvement.Originate and develop technical advancements and solutions to technical issues, to maintain The Company as the leader in our industry.RequirementsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred. Experience in a relevant engineering role an advantage.Experience with 3D software.Ability to read Bill of MaterialsLean Six Sigma Qualification is a distinct advantage.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to multitask and problem solve.Ability to analyse and interpret data.Attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Strong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)Ability to read engineering documents.Experience in reading electronic schematics and technical documentation.A knowledge of working with quality management systems is advantageous (ISO)Understanding of Health and Safety practices Tags:
