Principal Connections - executive search has been retained to recruit for the key post of Head of Engineering on behalf of our client, a prominent International Manufacturing organisation in Ireland. THE POSITIONReporting to the Head of Operations, the Head of Engineering will have responsibility for leading the engineering team and all associated engineering activities on the site, whilst delivering an asset care strategy to ensure engineering excellence is delivered through continuous improvement activities. The Head of Engineering will work as part of the site management team and in collaboration with Divisional / Group colleagues to ensure CAPEX projects are professionally executed and managed utilising world class project management tools and resulting in on time and in budget delivery. The Head of Engineering will lead on engineering excellence, continuous improvement, asset investment, project management and people management. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the Engineering function at a time of significant investment in automation, robotics and processing, and to utilise best in class technologies and premium equipment suppliers. REQUIREMENTSThird-level qualified, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of operating in a similar position at a sufficiently senior level. They will ideally have experience in the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Alternatively, individuals coming from another manufacturing discipline may have the skillset required.
