Job opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer with experienced in the areas of Pharma, Water Services or FMCG. As part of this role will form an integral part of the design and project delivery team with particular focus on coordination of design activities, providing technical oversight and direction to our design engineers and approval of detailed design including mechanical equipment selection, hydraulic systems and engineering drawings. Duration: Permanent Benefits: 10% annual bonus with company car/car allowance Hybrid (2 days/week in Kilkenny office)Day to day of the role: Developing design solutions to technical problems, involving equipment selection and specifications, hydraulic design, plant layouts, P&IDs etc Leading the relationship with our clients from initial concept, feasibility, detailed design, implementation to final delivery Mentoring and coaching of design teams to establish the best value working design solutions to technical problems Coordinating members of the design team to ensure the timely delivery of information and reviewing the work of other members of staff and providing assistance to their continued learning and development Utilising our design templates and software to complete calculations and supporting the equipment selection process Ensuring that all Design Documentation is in line with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan and project specific requirements Act as a subject matter expert on technical issues throughout the projects Required skills for the role: Degree Mechanical Engineering At least 5+ years experience in a similar role Experience in the Water Industry preferable Previous experience in people management Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design Experience working with hydraulic design templates and software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If interested please forward updated CV to aidan@synergyrecruitment.ie
