My client is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for their manufacturing company based in Co.

Waterford. Key Responsibilities: Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001, GMP, and other relevant standards.

Ensure continuous improvement of quality processes and systems.

Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits by regulatory bodies.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers and quality assurance professionals.

Provide training and development to staff on quality assurance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards, including FDA regulations for pharmaceuticals and relevant construction standards.

Stay updated with changes in industry regulations and standards.

Project Management: Oversee quality assurance aspects of pharmaceutical and construction projects from inception to completion.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality objectives are met.

Review project specifications, drawings, and plans to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Supplier and Contractor Management: Evaluate and approve suppliers and contractors based on quality criteria.

Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier performance.

Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies.

Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, including quality plans, inspection reports, and audit findings.

Report on quality metrics and performance to senior management.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Minimum of 15years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.

Extensive experience in both the pharmaceutical and construction industries.

In-depth knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and construction quality standards.

Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.

Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficient in quality management software and tools.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
