Overview:
As a Global Director of Health & Safety Services at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health & safety strategies across all Insight’s projects worldwide. We require a professional with a deep understanding of construction safety protocols, regulation, and best practices, coupled with the ability to drive a culture of safety excellence throughout the organisation.
The Opportunity:
In this role will provide:
Strategic Leadership:

Continue the development and execution of a global health & safety strategy tailored to the services provided by Linesight, aligning with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic guidance and leadership to regional health & safety teams, ensuring consistency and adherence to global standards.
Provide strategic guidance to management to minimise business risk associated with existing or new health & safety services.

Policy Development and Implementation:

Design and implement robust health & safety policies, procedures, and programs specific to Linesight services, considering the diverse nature of projects and regional regulations.
Continuously review and update policies to reflect emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Develop and implement a comprehensive risk assessment program across project sites, identifying potential non-compliance actions, hazards and implementing effective control measures to mitigate risks.
Establish protocols for incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

Stay abreast of global health & safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to the construction sector, ensuring full compliance across all operations.
Interface with regulatory agencies, industry bodies, and external stakeholders to influence policy development and advocate for safer work environments.

Training and Education:

Develop and deliver tailored training programs for project personnel at all levels, emphasising safety awareness, hazard recognition, and the proper use of protective equipment.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, empowering employees to actively participate in safety initiatives and contribute to a safe work environment.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Establish KPI’s and metrics to track the effectiveness of health & safety initiatives, benchmarking performance against industry standards and internal targets.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting trends, accomplishments, and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communications:

Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, project teams, clients and contractors to foster collaboration and promote a shared commitment to safety excellence.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

A bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Professional certifications in health & safety (e.g., CSP, CIH CSCS, NEBOSH, other).
A proven track record of extensive experience in a managerial role as health & safety manager within the construction industry (preferably with DC’s, high tech., or life sciences).
In-depth knowledge of global health & safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to construction operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence teams at all levels of the organisation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and drive consensus.
An analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.
Experience in crisis management, incident investigation, and emergency response planning.
The capacity and flexibility to travel internationally as required.
