We're looking for a Civil Engineer for our Dublin office who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, prepare grading plans, performing earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations. Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.  General Summary As Civil Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Civil engineering design and construction support team, counted on to perform Civil analysis and design for our projects and play a key leadership role in our civil team. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, you may be part of a larger design team supporting the Senior Civil Engineer or acting as the Civil Lead yourself. You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills as you work closely with the clients, project managers, other disciplines, and construction trade partners. As part of this team, you will develop design concepts, undertake analysis and design, and work with the other Designers and Engineers as part of the wider design effort.  It is expected that you have a strong working knowledge of civil principals in many subject areas, understanding of building codes with emphasis on local jurisdictional code requirements, understand how civil design integrates with and impacts other disciplines, and understand business trends and industry issues and challenges.  Duties and Responsibilities: With limited supervision, individual competently performs all conventional aspects of civil engineering and analysis: Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Exercises sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills. Takes responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work: Takes complete ownership of their portion of the civil scope, reliably meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Clearly define own scope and can forecast level of effort needed to complete that scope. Be ready to identify scope change and escalate it to Civil Lead. Ask for help when needed, and delegate to other engineers when appropriate. Able to work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail. Possesses excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Here's What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering At least 6 years of project experience Chartered Civil Engineering qualification preferred. Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments including: Site development, site master planning and site selection. Underground utility routing and site space planning. Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems. Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems. Performing final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing. Support permit application process. Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, WaterCAD and WaterGEMS preferrable. Expertise in hydrology analysis tools including Micro Drainage software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.  Ideally, you’ll also have:  Previous experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or general industrial facilities. Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
