Job Description Reporting to the Operations Director, the Mechanical Operations Manager has the responsibility for delivering a range of projects within their assigned region, ensuring that projects are delivered to the client in a safe manner and to the very highest standard.
As the Mechanical Operations Manager, you would oversee all aspects of the project execution, from the point of handover from the estimating team to the close-out of the project.
In this role, you would maintain and develop relationships with our key partners as well as King and Moffatt members of the associated project team including Senior PMs, Senior Engineers, Planners and various other personnel.
What you would do: As the operational leader, drive the creation and execution of the vision for the particular business unit, while translating this vision into action across all projects.
Attend tender handover and project start up meetings, and drive various improvements across the board.
Become familiar with all details and specifications of the contract.
Ensure the entire team understands their individual and collective roles with regards the projects.
Control multiple projects via the Construction Managers.
Ensure the creation and delivery of Commissioning Programmes.
Drive CMs and PMs to Manage the RFI Process.
Ensure adherence to all project SOPs, with specific focus on PEPs; Project Programme Development and indicator management.
Act as a Mentor for the CMs and PMs on your team.
Own and be responsible for driving control of project budgets via the CMs.
Ensure that operations and commercial work seamlessly together for the benefit of the business as a whole.
What we are looking for: Extensive experience in Construction/Project Management - mechanical trade or engineering background.
Successful track record of delivering high value mechanical projects Proven experience in all aspects of project controls.
Demonstrated ability to manage through people.
Excellent communication and engagement skills.
