Team Insight The Data Systems Infrastructure (DSI) team sits within the Byte Dance global technology structure and supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions, and developing various infrastructure services, making sure they are scalable and are reliable. Role Insight The DSI team is growing across UK and Ireland and we are looking to hire a Production Systems Engineer in Ireland to support the fast growth and manage the massive content on the platform. Byte Dance's infrastructure team is building hyper-scale datacenters globally which host hundreds of thousands of servers. As the Production System Engineer, you will manage the full lifecycles of Byte Dance's server fleet, including initial deployment, OS installation, service provisioning, inventory management, troubleshooting and repairs, and eventually decommissioning and recycling. Responsibilities Work cross-function on large-scale data center projects and initiatives including datacenter buildout and server deployment. Perform deep dives on complex technical issues within the data center, ranging from software bugs, hardware failures to network issues. Own policies and procedures for the day to day operations to ensure a secure and smooth production environment. Build tools and automations to improve the operational efficiency.
