Branch Manager - Builders Merchant
Our client is seeking a branch manager for their Cork location. They are looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset, proven leadership skills, and a passion for customer relationships to lead this thriving branch.
About the Role
As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the full day-to-day operations of the store, driving both commercial and operational performance. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will play a crucial role in executing company’s growth strategy, supporting your team to achieve high performance, and develop lasting customer and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all branch operations, ensuring team objectives and performance targets are clearly defined and achieved. Retain and expand our existing customer base, actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Manage and allocate staff resources effectively in response to business needs. Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers. Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed. Contribute to business development initiatives and strategic growth planning. Required:
Proven experience managing a team with strong leadership and motivational skills. Sales experience within the construction or building materials industry is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities. Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage change effectively. IT proficiency and the ability to work with data to drive decision-making. Package:
