We are assisting a well-known property company in their search for a Compliance Officer.

As Compliance Officer, you will work with a busy Risk and Compliance team who look after all regulatory aspects of the business.

You will advise and support the business on a variety of matters including AML, Data Protection, ESG and the Property Services Act.

This is a permanent role.

First 6 months – fully onsite; hybrid post probation.

Candidates who are successful for this role will have sector specific experience of compliance within the property sector.

Ideally, this will include experience working with energy, carbon and travel data.

You will have a good understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements and you will be a good communicator who can interact with both customers and internal stakeholders.

Duties of this role will include: Data protection – manage requests in conjunction with DPO, assist with mandatory staff training, support in investigation of breaches and in related corrective actions.

Update compliance registers and support internal audits and reviews.

Attend compliance meeting – take minutes and follow up actions.

Perform AML checks, conflict checks and sanctions checks for newly onboarded clients.

Processing of customer data, account opening and regular updates of CRM system.

Support in ESG initiatives – manage data sets on several key metrics, assist with reporting.

Maintain gift register in accordance with company guidelines.

Maintain register of legal and insurance claims.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have: Minimum BSc Degree in Business or another relevant discipline.

At least one years’ experience in a Compliance role, ideally in the property sector.

Excellent IT and MS Office skills.
