We are recruiting for a Design Engineer with building engineering experience and experience working on local authority projects to join a growing project team, working alongside experienced professionals. Reporting to the project team, you will be responsible for understanding and managing the design requirements of tenders and live projects, and for providing assistance and guidance to design co-ordinators as required. Responsibilities Manage design consultants, sub-consultants, and design sub-contractors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all design information required for site execution Manage design co-ordinators and act as a mentor across assigned projects Contribute to Employer’s Requirements and Contractor Proposals to ensure compatibility Support and assist the Design Co-ordinator during the construction phase Chair and record design meetings, ensuring production of design information in line with programme and project requirements Experience Understanding of different client procurement routes Experience working at the pre-construction stage Strong understanding of Design & Build contracts Commercial awareness Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Experience using Viewpoint for Projects (4 Projects) or similar document management systems Qualifications Degree in a construction-related discipline Minimum of six years’ experience in the construction industry INDTW
