Come join us! Director, Engineering will be responsible for leading the engineering execution of the AI Engineering Operations team.

Along with leading a team of software engineering professionals, you will work with various Data and Product teams to understand their needs and propose appropriate cloud-based architecture/design solutions for implementation.

You will be leading the design and execution of infrastructure and software releases in support of the evolving operational needs of our internal and external AI workflows.

You will partner closely with our internal Data Science functions to develop self-serve cloud infrastructure provision capabilities and management of model deployment automation.

As part of the AI Labs team, you’ll: Manage a team of software engineers and work closely with the business partners to ensure that the solutions planned will meet the business objectives.

Be driven by an automation mindset evolving our practices in cloud automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code and Dev Ops.

Contribute code and direction to the team.

Active role as a mentor to the team.

Actively debug code and ensure solid code delivery and execution by your team.

Maintain and monitor existing production level application deployments.

Lead the application support ensuring that SLA’s are met and costs are within budget.

Identify and solve design problems of moderate to complex cloud implementation, should independently plan and design solutions, involving potentially conflicting design requirements Be a trusted advisor, and internal SME who will help BU teams with review of architecture patterns, and suggest cost effective infrastructure models.

Develop and execute on timelines, budgets, acceptance criteria and service levels for the aligned within the RDI Program.

About You: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field A minimum of 8 years’ experience in an appropriate working environment, of which three to five years would have been working at Director level Demonstrable experience of managing and planning for a large number of resources.

Management of geographically diverse development resources and the building of virtual project teams.

Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff, both business and technical.

Ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets on multiple interdependent projects without supervision.

Demonstrate constructive problem solving skills and ensures that conflicts of interest/dependencies are resolved in a timely manner.

Ability to motivate a department of development associates and create a nurturing environment Prior experience in developing work effort estimates, project plans, budget estimates, and roadmaps.
