Director - Audit and Assurance Audit and Assurance Our Audit and Assurance team is expanding due to significant growth. We are looking for a highly motivated Director to join our Corporate Audit team. This senior leadership role offers a direct reporting role to Partners, the chance to lead major client engagements, and a platform to shape the future of our growing practice. Main responsibilities: Promotion and oversight of quality audit work on all client engagements Taking full responsibility for managing and reviewing the work of the audit team Supervising and training all members of the team to ensure that Grant Thornton's standards are maintained throughout the entire audit process Management of client relationships Project management - take responsibility for managing a large and varied portfolio of clients Working capital management - manage work in progress and billings Client fee negotiation Preparation and presentation of business tenders in order to develop and grow your client portfolio Skills and attributes: ACA/ACCA qualified Proven experience in practice with a track record of high-quality files Strong attention to detail and analytical assessment Strong technical skills in both auditing standards and financial reporting (IFRS, Irish and UK GAAP) Ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines Ability to make professional judgments based on findings Portfolio management experience Experience working as part of a team supporting others Commercial awareness Experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm would be advantageous #LI-KS1 To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
