Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to join the Compliance team in our Dublin office. This role requires expertise in European regulation, specifically within algorithmic trading. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and capable of leading a team. A strong understanding of Irish and European regulation and market structure is essential, along with a working knowledge of European equity and derivative trading venue market rules. The role also demands effective communication skills at all organizational levels. Responsibilities Actively liaise and communicate with the CBIMaintain compliance policies and procedures, develop new policies where applicable Routinely oversee the compliance program to ensure the firm is meeting its responsibilities Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring, report on findings and provide recommendations and implement changes where appropriate Act as a point of contact for the entity's regulator and for compliance questions from trading venues Respond to and/or review regulatory inquiries to ensure they are well written and consistent Complete regulatory filings and understand Mi FID regulatory reporting requirements Review and/or supervise alerts generated by the surveillance system and advise on any changes to reports as required Develop and deliver compliance training Monitor regulatory developments and communicate applicable details to relevant teams within the group Provide compliance advice on trading and business initiatives Oversee and maintain the responsibility for the anti-money laundering programme Complete other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned Qualifications Educated to degree level10+ years of trading compliance experience Experience liaising and communicating with the Central Bank of Ireland is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with particular attention to detail, are required Ability to work independently with sound judgement Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects Must be comfortable working in a technical environment
