Further information is available at www.dcc.ie/our-business/energy Background DCC is forming a JV with Impax to offer in-house solar financing to European solar PV customers. Aim is to boost competitiveness, target larger C&I customers, and cross-sell energy products. Initially, leases in France and PPAs in Ireland, expanding to UK, Germany, Austria, and Norway. The Asset Manager (Wewise Finance Solutions) will oversee EPC obligations, work with EMS and sales teams to target right customers and scale portfolio. The goal is a €300m portfolio in 5 years. Purpose of the role Working very closely with the Head of Solar Financing in establishing Wewise Finance Solutions from scratch, the finance lead will be responsible for establishing and leading the finance operations from an accounting, financing, and reporting perspective with a strong operational focus to build and implement a robust financial infrastructure from the ground up. What will you do? Financial Operations Design and implement a scalable and efficient transactional finance model, initially focusing on France and Ireland. Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger accounting. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems. Collaborate with in-country EMS teams to identify necessary accounting resources for managing in-country asset SPV accounts and invoicing. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology to automate financial processes and reduce manual effort. Commercial Finance Evaluate project proposals and ensure pricing aligns with JV return requirements. Own and manage the pricing tool, making updates and improvements as needed, and rolling these out across geographies in collaboration with in-country Product Managers. Develop new pricing tool versions for solar financing launches in new geographies. Establish and manage credit check processes for each country until the Credit Lead is onboarded. Manage insurance for assets in the portfolio. Accounting and Financial Reporting Develop and implement accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, aligning with both JV and Group requirements. Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Conduct variance analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Manage the JV's financial performance, including account and liquidity management of SPVs, obtaining necessary approvals, and preparing annual audited accounts. Oversee JV financial planning and reporting, including the preparation of monthly budgets and quarterly management accounts. Maintain and update fixed asset and project contract registers, including details of assets, pricing, and termination terms. Stakeholder collaboration Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the JV partner, group functions, and in-country teams. Effectively communicate financial performance and insights to all stakeholders. What do we look for? Degree in Finance or related subject. Ideally an understanding of solar PV and solar financing mechanisms Ideally an understanding of electricity markets and PPAs Background in banking/lending would be helpful Fluency in English is essential, ideally proficient in at least one other European language (preferably French) Self-starter to get things off the ground and going initially before the broader team is hired. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
