Our client an established construction company based in the midlands are looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Finance Manager to become the right-hand support to the Financial Director and lead a team of six finance professionals.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance, a strategic mindset and an interest in advancing our sustainability and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements * Team Leadership: Oversee and develop a team of six accounting staff, ensuring effective workflow, team development, and efficient financial operations.

* Strategic Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance Director to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's vision and objectives.

* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Support the Financial Director in preparing accurate financial reports, forecasts and budgets, while offering insights and recommendations to drive financial decision-making.

* Financial Operations: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements and corporate governance standards.

Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.

* Sustainability Reporting: Take ownership of our sustainability reporting efforts, working cross-functionally to develop, monitor, and report on sustainability metrics and initiatives.

* Cybersecurity Awareness: Collaborate with IT providers and management to ensure strong cybersecurity practices within financial operations, including awareness of data protection and fraud prevention strategies.

* Construction-Specific Financial Management: Apply your industry expertise to manage job costing, contract accounting, and compliance with construction industry regulations and practices.

Risk Management: Knowledge of insurance claims management, particularly in relation to personal injuries, is a strong advantage.

Education: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
