We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the finance function at Alison. This position would suit an industry professional with experience in the investment or digital economy sectors. This is a very exciting opportunity for a talented senior finance professional to lead the financial management of a fast-growing global business based out of Ireland. The new CFO will join the CEO and senior managers as the lead C-Level professional for all matters financial in the business. The role will require top-level strategic and operational capabilities. Alison employs at this time 170 professionals across 35 countries. Although its headquarters is in Loughrea, Co Galway, Ireland, the business is managed entirely remotely and virtually. The business is exceptionally global, with customers in every country worldwide. The Alison free empowerment platform welcomes over 200,000 visitors per day. The Alison App has over 5 Million active users. We are seeking for our CFO to be based out of Ireland as much of our financial management relates to operating out of an Irish/EU location. Whilst we seek someone who has full experience of the Accounting side of the CFO function, the candidate will need to show a strong appreciation of the international investment industry worldwide given our strong rate of growth, global ambition, and industry leadership character. The Role: Overseeing all Financial Matters of the Business. Providing the CEO and Senior Management Team with strategic financial management advice. Direct the financial operations of the business, from high-level to project planning levels within the business. Maintain and develop the finance function within the business. Contribute to the overall Strategy of the Company as a key member of the Management Team. The Person: Degree/Master in Accounting, Finance, MBA and/or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).10+ years experience in a senior financial management position. Experience in managing the process of managing investors. Ambition to lead the finance function of a leading global player. Ability to work independently to tight deadline dates at all times. Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of current and global affairs. A record of persistence, resourcefulness and success. An interest in social enterprise and international NGO development is an advantage. Strong Commercial and Project Management skills/experience. A positive and ambitious disposition eager to get the best of oneself and one's work and from those around them at every level. Evidence of being a team player with leadership abilities. Evidence of strong writing and financial presentation skills. An appreciation of web-based industry & analytics in terms of performance reporting. Someone who can bring multinational-level management skills to a growing company environment. Location: Remote: Ireland or the UK.
