Description

My client, a leading independent financial services provider, is expanding its Hedge Fund Accounting team. Known for their A-Z fund accounting model, their structure ensures that teams handle the full lifecycle of fund accounting rather than working in a functionalised setup. This means Supervisors play a key role as doers and reviewers, managing their own workloads while also reviewing and signing off on the work of junior team members. While not responsible for formal people management, they are highly client-facing, acting as the first point of contact for clients on a daily basis. This role offers the flexibility to work fully remotely, provided your primary residence is in Ireland. About the Role As a Hedge Fund Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely NAVs, reviewing the work of others, and ensuring seamless client service. You will work closely with Managers and Directors, providing hands‑on technical expertise while supporting junior team members. Key Responsibilities Managing your own portfolio of hedge funds, ensuring timely and accurate NAV production. Reviewing and signing off on reconciliations, investor allocations, pricing, and journal entries. Acting as the first point of contact for clients, addressing queries and providing updates. Engaging with auditors, legal teams, and other stakeholders as required. Supporting fund launches and assisting with new client onboarding. Providing training and technical support to junior team members. Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. About You3+ years of hedge fund accounting experience. Strong technical knowledge of NAV calculations, reconciliations, and fund structures. Experience in reviewing junior team members’ work. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset. Ability to prioritise workloads and manage deadlines effectively. An accountancy qualification is desirable but not essential.
