Are you the right person for the job? Youre an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substation projects, ideally supporting renewable energy developments such as wind, solar, or battery storage.
You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline (Level 8 minimum), with at least 1015 years experience in HV/MV infrastructure and 5+ years in project management.
Youre confident managing designers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, and have a deep understanding of grid codes, connection agreements, and protection schemes.
Youre flexible and organised, comfortable with a hybrid working model (office, site, and home), and willing to travel nationally to oversee projects.
What will your role look like? Lead the end-to-end delivery of HV/MV substation and grid connection projects from design and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
Develop, manage, and track project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, and safety requirements.
Oversee the work of designers, suppliers, and contractors, reviewing and coordinating deliverables to ensure engineering excellence.
Liaise with renewable developers, ESB, and key stakeholders to secure approvals, grid connections, and compliance with all regulations.
Provide technical leadership on HV/MV substations (up to 38k V), switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
Manage project risks, procurement, and reporting, ensuring that every project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Champion continuous improvement, digital innovation, and sustainability across all projects.
