Overview Senior Group Manager Agency Lending Operations - Director at Citi. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational service supporting the Agency Securities Lending (ASL) business in partnership with the broader team. The role requires driving strategy across operational processes and partnering with Technology to ensure the client experience across Transaction Management, Asset Services, Tax and Middle Office meets the highest standards. The role contributes to cost and productivity targets, drives standardized global service to support organic growth and new business, and ensures a diverse and high-calibre resource pool. The role provides continuity across the regional construct with required functional expertise for business partners and has responsibility to ensure senior escalation for aspects of ASL Operations. The role may represent the ASL Operation at internal/external forums and will support the Product/Business at client meetings where required. The role is at a Director (C15) level due to high client focus and interaction, in addition to associated risks. ASL transactions involve the loan of securities by a client to a Borrower (or buyer in the event of a repo), and the ASL unit serves as the agent on behalf of lenders. The ASL Operations team supports new loan collateral and settlement, daily mark-to-market, return collateral and settlement, recalls, cash/position recons, contract compare, SFTR reporting, trade support, Fed coupon processing, Borrower billing, Client earnings. Custody asset servicing supports ASL corporate actions and income events. The DAIS business extends the client\'s Treasury capabilities with access to money market instruments and varying risk, return and tenor. The ASL Operations team supports client cash contributions, investment subscription/redemption confirmations, wires, rate reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and earnings. Position Responsibilities Service Level Compliance – 100% service level compliance across all functions, in line with external contractual agreements and internal Product/Business expectations Financial management for ASL client delivery, ensuring cost targets and resource management Standardization of service offering across all operational functions to deliver a global “One Custody” client experience Simplify technology across the group, focusing on client query tooling and reporting Drive Citi initiatives to reduce touch points and queries within Custody processes Continuously review and enhance client delivery processes with Functional Heads and management to improve client experience Support execution of Location Strategy activities, ensuring compliance with site requirements and robust post-go-live training and support Collaborate with Productivity Office to identify and implement opportunities to reduce inefficiency Identify gaps in process control framework and ensure steps are relevant, documented and understood Identify business opportunities to increase share of wallet Requirements Relevant senior experience in an operational management environment, preferably with Agency Lending/Middle Office Operations experience Understanding of client experience and ability to lead client-centric teams with service capability focus Experience leading global and regional teams across multiple time zones, including large matrix organizations Experience managing financials and resources for a global function Problem solving, process improvement, self-starter and results oriented Experience dealing with and managing clients while representing an operational function Local regulatory and compliance familiarity to drive processes and adhere to country procedures and standards Strong analytical skills to analyse processes and systems, evaluate data, and identify process improvements We offer We work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on communities we serve.
