Dublin Job descriptionWhat’s the Role: Support Worker What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential. Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life. Where You Would Work: Brookfield, Rush, North Dublin Our services in the Rush area offer support for adults with intellectual disability, autism. As part of the role you will support our service users in many ways which will include attending appointments, helping them to access their local community and driving the adapted service vehicle. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies* A driving license and access to a car area desirable criteria for the position.
