In line with our growth plan, we are increasing our group engineering function and are seeking experienced and dynamic project managers, an “electrical project engineer” and a “mechanical project engineer” to join our team to oversee and deliver capital projects within a (FMCG) Fast Moving Consumer Goods business and aligning to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Reporting to Engineering Project Manager IOI This role can be based out any of our sites as there will be travel to all the production sites in Ireland. About the Role The purpose of this role is to implement overall organisation of the electrical engineering functions within the Kepak group. The holder must ensure that the necessary human, financial and material resources for the electrical function are outlined and agreed with your manager. Promote best electrical practices across the group; in conjunction with each plant's maintenance and operations team, review and take corrective action of the preventive and predictive maintenance program for all electrical equipment. Ensure electrical compliance for all statutory / insurance requirements. Become totally proficient in the use of all control/ maintenance systems used throughout the group. The Electrical Engineer will plan, organise, lead, coordinate and control all activities concerned with Electrical (ELV, LV, MV & HV) Projects. The Electrical engineer will participate in the conceptual development of all electrical projects and lead its organisation, scheduling and implementation. He/she is the key point of contact with the contractors and will build and create strong, assertive, and positive relationships. They ensure that the sites meet and exceeds quality, environmental, health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Proactively manage and help lead the company’s Electrical Projects in line with company’s operational budget objectives, building regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Lead and manage site staff and sub-contractors to drive synergy within the team and ensure efficient workflow in line with business needs. Develop and issue tender packages for electrical works on all approved CapEx projects across Kepak Group, particularly Red Meat Ireland sites. Monitor contract progress with targeted project outcomes, Quality Management Systems, contract specifications and stake holder expectations. Monitor financial performance of all projects. Report to the Senior Engineering Management Team on project progress, and system performance at agreed intervals. Support the development of contract programmes ensuring resources are always effectively engaged. Optimise the productivity of supply contractors when co-ordinating multiple site activities. Manage staff performance in line with business, team and individual targets, dealing consistently and efficiently with under-performance, conduct or disciplinary matters. Demonstrate a lead by example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, be fully compliant with Company Health & Safety: policies, procedures, systems and rules, report all hazards and incidents and ensure that you and your team work Requirements Skills / Knowledge/ Experience/ Academic Requirements: Essential : 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, or Strong Trades background. 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role Awareness of operational safety requirements in a manufacturing environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements as per regulatory bodies. Experienced in AutoCAD Strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fast-paced, results-oriented culture. Desirable: Health & Safety Training. People Management Skills / Team Leadership and development Experience of working within the FMCG industry (Food) Trained in Problem solving techniques and breakdown analysis. A capability to think logically and innovatively. Able to impact upon and influence key stakeholders at all levels. Desirable: Evidence of being a team player.
