Energy Project Manager (Public Sector)

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for Climate Action and Sustainability initiatives within the designated region. Working in close collaboration with the local Energy Officer, the Regional Sustainability Officer will lead efforts to engage staff and Green Teams, manage budgets, implement projects, and oversee comprehensive estate management. Key priorities will include advancing Climate Action and Sustainability goals, such as fostering green environments, conserving water, reducing waste, and supporting sustainable infrastructure development.

This is an initial 1-year contract role which offers great scope for extension and future permanency.

Requirements

Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in (STEM) Engineering, Science, or Technology accredited by the relevant Professional Institute (Engineers Ireland etc.)

OR

Full Membership of the relevant professional association: i.e. Engineers Ireland

AND

Have had at least 5 years’ satisfactory & relevant experience in planning, design, project management or construction of buildings or delivering Climate action and Sustainability in buildings/public sector.
