Role Details Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Advisory (FSA) Business Risk Services (BRS) team in Dublin is currently seeking driven and self-motivated professionals to join the team at Associate Director Level at the new Grant Thornton offices, in City Quay. We are expanding the Financial Crime business offering and would welcome applications from those who have the ability to develop and present business growth recommendations, conduct market research and generate original ideas. In this role, you will be helping lead the strategic planning, project management and cooperating closely with senior stakeholders to help launch our offering and deliver our strategic business goals. Additionally, you will be helping deliver Financial Crime engagements. The role provides strong candidates with the opportunity to become a key member of the management team and play a role in successful and growing business unit whilst working closely with colleagues throughout the firm in a rapidly growing area of the business. The successful candidate should have experience working in or delivering engagements spanning, AML, governance, risk management, and compliance. This role will be attractive to individuals who can rise to a challenge, critical thinkers and who are adaptable and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships internally and externally, become involved in a variety of projects and lead on assignments covering a broad spectrum of organisations within the Financial Services industry, including but not limited to: Banking Insurance Asset Management Payment Institutions and E-Money Main Responsibilities Active involvement in strategic business development activities, including identifying client needs, opportunities and working on proposals for new business Support the preparation of strategic business initiatives and presentation materials Conduct market research and study market trends to evaluate the practices and market behaviour of industry competitors Deliver AML / FC / GRC engagements to regulated clients using project management and subject matter expertise skills Act as the lead for fieldwork assignments involving multiple team members and client deliverables Work closely with client management, up to and including board-level directors Prepare detailed reports outlining project deliverables and where relevant professional recommendations; and Skills and Attributes Minimum of 8+ years AML or GRC experience; Qualification relevant to AML / FC, risk management, regulatory compliance, consulting Comfortable with working on difficult issues where there may be no definitive ‘right’ answer, patient in the face of uncertainty and complexity Ability to design and present information on Microsoft PowerPoint in an insightful and structured manner, both written and verbal Demonstrated experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks Strong client focus and client relationship management skills Excellent project management skills, issue resolution and the ability to plan and manage local and global projects with large teams A strong team player who is also prepared to lead a team; driving them to deliver exceptional results Excellent written and oral communication skills If you think you are this person and you want a career that works for you with a professional services organisation that is going places, then apply today.
