Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US. Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East. The Role An exciting opportunity to join the Ornua Global Communications team as a Digital Communications Manager has opened. It is a versatile role encompassing corporate, brand and internal communications, stakeholder management and reputation management. The role requires bringing great ideas and strategy to life; being a creative storyteller; embracing communication technologies; and crafting and executing impactful communication programmes which resonate with Ornua’s many shareholders and strengthen Ornua’s brand and reputation globally. Key Areas of Responsibility Develop and implement Global Communication’s content & social strategy Produce creative infographics, presentation decks, videos, and newsletters that are consistent with Ornua’s brand identity for multiple social and digital channels across the Group Ensure the publication of all content is in line with Ornua’s Global Communications Strategy Develop and manage Ornua’s corporate brand community playbook Translate Ornua communication initiatives / events into seamless social and digitally driven executions for example D&I programme, global trade show programme and sponsorships Manage the Group’s intranet and drive increased employee usage and engagement Manage social listening, monitoring and tracking of the Group’s online presence Identify new and relevant social and digital channels, trends, technologies for the Group Support Ornua in-market teams’ digital requirements Support internal and external stakeholders including the Executive team, in-market teams, industry, members and farmers Support annual global communications planning process, with ownership of specific areas Provide issues and crisis management digital communications support Manage relationships with media agencies, PR and creative partners and other third-party suppliers A digital native, attuned to social and digital culture and how target audiences engage with established and emerging social and digital platforms Passionate about food and interested in sharing the story of Irish dairy farming with markets across the globe Travel as required, to support communications management across Ornua’s global network Proven track record of activating social platforms and digital channels for companies and brands Experience in production and creative development across multiple social and digital mediums A critical eye and excellent attention to detail A convincing communicator and active listener A self-motivated and focused person with a proven track record of delivering success Well-developed analytical, strategic, and creative thinking skills Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated track record of on-time, on-budget delivery Experience in budgeting and basic financial reporting Capable in standard Adobe Design Packages, primarily PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator Capability in video editing software (Premier or Final Cut) is preferable Knowledge of web design and development concepts and fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS with an ability to edit basic code is preferable
