This is an opportunity to join the Matheson LLP ("Matheson") tax practice, the largest tax practice group amongst Irish law firms, advising leading corporations and financial institutions doing business in and from Ireland. We are hiring a tax lawyer or tax advisor to join our team to work directly with our international client base on complex and challenging tax matters, with a focus on the financial sector. About the role You will have the opportunity to be involved across a range of matters, whilst also having the opportunity to focus on your areas of strength. The role will be with a group within our tax practice which primarily advises on:securitisation, capital markets and structured finance transactions;investment banking and banking transactions;private equity transactions;international tax for corporate reorganisations, restructurings and inward investment projects relating to the financial sector in Ireland;asset and project finance, including aircraft and equipment leasing; andtax controversy and tax litigation relating to the financial sector. About the person You are an experienced tax lawyer or CTA qualified advisor who is highly client focused and committed to consistently exceeding client expectations. You have deep technical expertise and strong business development acumen. You are a self‑starter, hardworking and resilient, can manage a varied workload and deliver quality, commercially‑focused advice. You will thrive in an energetic and inclusive environment where you will work in partnership with top legal talent in a market‑leading team that is continuing to grow. You will enjoy establishing relationships with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
