Job Specification Title: Financial Accountant My client,a leading higher education provider known for academic excellenceislookingfor a Financial Accountantto join their team.

Thisrolewillreport tothe Head of Finance.

The successful candidateshould have 3 yearspreviousexperience in aneducationalenvironmentand relevant accounting qualifications.

The Job: Financial Reporting/Financial Modelling for departmental reporting.

Responsible for the month-end process and preparation of management accounts.

Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable process.

Participate in year-end audits and prepare audit schedules for annual and internal audits.

Involvement in period-end close activities and accounts preparation, including P&L and balance sheet.

Reconcile and report key costs in the P&L and conduct quarterly reviews Participate in the annual budget process and preparation of statutory accounts.

Manage VAT projects andanalysespecific projects/business stream outcomes.

The Person: Relevant third-level degree (2.1 minimum) in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.

Professional accountancy qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.

3 years of recent relevant experience in a similar role.

Experience using the Sage system is desirable.

Fluency in a second language would be beneficial.

Strong IT skills andproficiencyin the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
