Our Client’s hotel is a cherished establishment known for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and deep ties to the local community. For generations, they have provided their guests with a cozy, home-away-from-home experience, offering comfortable accommodations, delicious locally-sourced cuisine, and memorable activities.
What You’ll Do:
As the General Manager, you will be the heart and soul of the hotel, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and a desire to return. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership: Inspire and lead your dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and camaraderie.
Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations, understanding and complying with hospitality law.
Staff Recruitment and Supervision: Recruit staff in all departments, training them and supervising them, to ensure effective management of the hotel.
Guest Experience and Planning: This includes planning events and room bookings, to enhance the guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality, addressing guest feedback with grace and attentiveness.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, optimise revenue, and control costs to achieve financial goals.
Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract new guests and retain loyal ones, leveraging the hotel's unique charm and location.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, suppliers, and the community to enhance the hotel's reputation and offerings.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 5 years proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for guest satisfaction.
CRM: Proficiency in using the Property Management system for maintaining hotel operations.
Financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute effective marketing plans.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to foster a positive team environment.
