Our client is a leading manufacturing facility within the food industry. We are looking to hire an IT Specialist to join their IT support team on-site in Macroom, Co.Cork. This is a full-time, permanent role and the IT Specialist will oversee the day-to-day support of all IT and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as support IT support contact for all industrial functions including Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Quality & EngineeringSupport MES applications which include Siemens, GEA, Wonderware, SAPSupport Oracle, SQL, OPC, Firebird ApplicationsSupport, develop, and enhance Infrared Cameras, Access Control, CCTV, and Security systemsParticipate in new projects, project enhancements, and application upgrades for MES applications with 3rd parties and local teams.Ensure Servers, Desktops, and Laptops are up to date with security patches, antivirus and software versions.Support all aspects of Hardware including CISCO, Siemens, PLC’s, VPNContinuous Improvement in all Industrial areas of responsibility which will drive and enhance systems, automation, ways of workings and productivityEnsure Compliance with IT security for all applications and systemsKey RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in IT or another Technical discipline is preferable2 years+ of related Industrial IT work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is desirableIndustrial Manufacturing Systems & SAP knowledgeProficient in the use of MS Office toolsProficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process dataAppetite for challenge and aptitude for change in a fast-paced 24/7 FMCG environment
