Irish Distillers joined Pernod Ricard in 1988, gaining access to unprecedented levels of investment and an extensive global distribution network. Pernod Ricard is the No.2 worldwide producer of wines and spirits with over 300 brands including Absolut, Jacobs Creek, Beefeater Gin and MMPJ and many more.
Role Responsibilities:
Responsibility for maintaining up to date corporate records including:
Legalaxy (Legal Suite) - A group wide contract management system due to be implemented in FY22 requiring categorising and uploading of all current contracts on to the system to provide a searchable database of contracts.
Corporate Snapshot – Database of corporate records of the Irish group providing access to board minutes and supporting documents through sharepoint and an app, as well as monitoring relevant compliance updates and maintaining up to date notes on relevant topics for director access
Responsibility for operating Partner-up checks for new suppliers and customers, coordinating with the procurement team, liaising with HQ Compliance officer, all in accordance with group policy
To assist the legal team in keeping templates within the legal portal relevant and up to date and to provide support to the business with drafting of contracts using approved templates.
To manage the raising of POs, and organisation of documents for signature and notarisation.
To assist the Company Secretary in the preparation and drafting of domestic agreements and associated credit checks and due diligence checks.
To participate in other legal team projects and initiatives as required from time to time.
Experience required:
Minimum 12 months experience in legal practice either in-house or in a firm.
Key Functional skills:
Excellent communication skills for dealing with internal management and external advisers
Proactive approach to area of responsibility
Flexible attitude, ability to respond to deadlines and prioritise as necessary
PC literate with practical experience of various systems including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good team worker, but able to self-organise and manage own workload
