We are hiring for a Cybersecurity Defence Senior Manager who will be responsible for leading the cybersecurity defence strategy and operations to protect our retail company's information assets.
This includes the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems to minimize risk and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information.
This role is based in our Head Office in Dublin city centre, and reports to our Chief Information Security Officer.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity defence strategy in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain a threat intelligence strategy, Oversee the collection of threat intelligence from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, industry groups, government reports, and more.
Analyse the collected data to identify trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of threat actors.
Lead the cybersecurity operations center (SOC) and manage the incident response team to detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents.
Ensure that threat intelligence is effectively integrated into the organization's security operations, including incident response, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other defensive measures Oversee the implementation and management of security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other defensive technologies.
Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security practices into the daily operations and development lifecycle.
Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the company's security posture.
Report regularly to senior management on the status of cybersecurity defences, incidents, and ongoing improvement plans.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on retail or similar industries.
Proven track record of leading a security operations center and managing incident response.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
