Maintenance Technician, required Cork, Salary 50k – 60k+ Bonus. Your new Company This company is one of Norway's biggest food product companies with an operating revenue of 23.8 Billion NOK in 2019 and a full-scale supplier of well-known dairy product brands. Their business idea is to use clean and natural raw materials to produce tasty and healthy food. They aim to do this through close interaction between nature, agriculture, consumers, and trade. Your new role This role enquires you to provide expertise on all electrical systems, and problem-solving/fault-finding of electrical systems & equipment throughout the site to secure the continuous operation of site. Some of your main duties will be: Performance Management – Ability to manage machine output on an hour-by-hour basis and analyse trends and identify opportunities for improvement. Ability to carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, completing all associated paperwork and records. Ability to repair industrial production equipment such as high-speed machines, conveyors, packaging machines, gearboxes, bearings, motor change out, valves. Problem-Solving – Strong mechanical /electrical problem-solving skills are essential. Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up & running within optimum time frame. Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, VSDs is an advantage. Experience in high volume automation / fmcg / robotics is an advantage. Document all aspects of maintenance work carried out and keep management informed of potential issues. Guarantee that the works comply with site quality standards and guidelines. Ensure that tasks are completed on time and meet our exceptional quality standards. Communication skills. Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively. What you will need to succeed QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate (or equivalent) – Craft: Electrical or Mechanical. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced process environment. Skills Experienced in fault-finding and problem-solving. Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask. Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of a team. Capable of prioritising tasks whilst possessing the ability to work under pressure. Teamwork – Ability to work with Operators & Technicians as part of a Core Production team. Proven experience in process improvements including tooling / fixture design, build and implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluent English IT literate and experienced in automation.
