The Job:My client, a well established manufacturing company, based in County Louth is looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their existing team of 4 people in Finance and 75 site wide. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, analyzing financial data, and assisting in decision-making processes that will positively impact the company's performance.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze production costs, and recommend efficiency improvements.Assist in the implementation of a new Finance system.Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and provide variance analysis.Monitor inventory levels, analyze variances, and work with the operations team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.Analyze product and project profitability, evaluate pricing strategies, and provide recommendations for improving profitability.Investigate and explain budget variances, highlighting key drivers and suggesting corrective actions.Assist in long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations.Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and work with the team to implement efficiency-enhancing measures.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (, CPA, CMA, ACCA) is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, in particularly SAP, with a strong knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
