Senior management position Up to £50,000 salary Healthcare plan Hybrid & flexi time 5% pension contribution The role of the Management Accountant entails a range of responsibilities, including the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, the development of budgets, and the provision of financial guidance to divisional Directors. This position also involves managing various financial reports, such as cost information for tender documents and reports for funders. The Financial Analyst will actively contribute to the preparation of annual statutory accounts and assist in upholding robust internal controls through internal audits. Furthermore, they will play a role in finance staff training and provide financial guidance to non-financial managers. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including the management accounts pack for Senior Management and Finance Committee review. Create departmental budgets and forecasts, encompassing income & expenditure accounts, capital projects, and cash flow requirements. Develop costing schedules and financial data for inclusion in tender documents. Compile reports for funders and capital expenditure, as well as other fixed assets reports. Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts. Support the maintenance and enhancement of robust internal controls through internal audits. Conduct ad hoc analyses and generate reports based on financial data as required. Provide financial training for non-financial managers and contribute to the training of finance staff. Requirements: Essential: Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ICA, ACCA, CIPFA), newly qualified candidates accepted. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy accounts function or practice. Demonstrated experience in preparing accounts from trial balance level. Proficiency in budgetary processes, including variance reporting. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within specified time constraints. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive with the ability to drive tasks forward. Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Desirable: Experience within the industrial sector. A broad range of non-audit work experience, such as budgeting & forecasting and management reporting. Commercial/industry experience gained through work experience and/or secondments.
