Our clients in County Cork are presently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer with strong technical expertise to support product development, production efficiency, and quality standards. The role requires hands-on problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Work with R&D and Production teams to assist with prototypes and New Product Introductions (NPI). Create and update Work Instructions, Procedures, and Bills of Material for new and existing products. Manage Engineering Change Notices and act as technical liaison with suppliers. Identify and implement product cost reduction opportunities. Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration schedules; organize external contractors as required. Participate in ISO and regulatory audits; investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions. Requirements Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (Turret Punch, Press Brake, Welding). Ability to interpret electrical circuit drawings and specifications for cables, crimping, switches, and lighting. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Auto CAD Inventor (advantageous). Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset. Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience.
