Based in Cork, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on an array of high profile, prestigious projects. To be successful you will have a good understanding of Control Systems and/or Instrumentation along with the aptitude and motivation to advance your career. Ideal candidates will have the following attributes:Requirements of the role:Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in engineering or science with a focus towards Automation & Control. E.g., Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechatronics.A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other GMP regulated industry.A technical knowledge within control systems, instrumentation, or validation related engineering discipline in the Life Science Sector.Experience in PLC, HMI, SCADA and/or FactoryTalk Software will be a distinct advantage.Knowledge of Batch Process Control, ISA-S88 standard programming.Flexibility in approach to work and the ability to work within a team environment with high energy levels.Good problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and innovate.Excellent communications anddocumentation skills are key requirements.Experience in FactoryTalk products Responsibilities of the role:Member of a project team tasked with developing new Life Science projects on Rockwell Automation PlantPAx DCS.Re-locate to Ireland for a period of 6 months to, work with and learn from, the Life Science projects team.Design and Testing of control system software including control modules, equipment modules, graphics, alarms, safety interlocks etc. Generating detailed design documents and qualification documents. Ensure that automation systems and associated documents are designed in compliance with all relevant GMP standards.Develop proficiency in ControlLogix Programming, Equipment phase, Equipment module, Control module, SCADA, Network Distributed HMI, Drives (AB), knowledge of various communication protocols like DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus communication.If you are looking for a stimulating and challenging opportunity in a vibrant environment, please submit your resume along with a brief introductory letter via email.
