MCS is delighted to be working with a leading organisation in the manufacturing sector who are seeking a skilled Database Support Engineer to join their technical operations team.

This 9 month fixed term contract focuses on the delivery, stability, and optimisation of a mission-critical database environment across both on-premise and cloud-based platforms.

This is a fully on-site role based in Craigavon, with the added benefit of an early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain a range of enterprise data systems, ensuring high performance and availability Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and applying long-term fixes Carry out routine system checks and implement recommended improvements Support service improvement initiatives and infrastructure upgrades Play an active role in ongoing technical projects and platform enhancements Skills & Experience Required: Proven expertise in managing Microsoft SQL Server environments Strong background in system security, access control, and user permissions Experience with tuning and performance optimisation of databases Confident in managing backups, restoration, and data recovery processes Familiarity with hybrid data environments (on-prem/cloud) What you will get in return: Competitive salary up to £45k Onsite working (Craigavon based) Great benefits Flexi time Early finish Friday To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please contact Luke Graham, IT Recruitment Consultant at MCS Group or click the apply button below.
