A Principal/ Senior Automation Engineer is required by Career Wise Recruitment to join our based Cork based MN manufacturing client.

Role will lead automation initiatives and drive innovation within the engineering team.

ROLE: * Lead the design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize processes across our operation.

* Provide technical oversight of multiple projects and will provide support, where required, for engineers developing and implementing projects, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems.

* Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies across projects.

* Technical leadership of engineers working on the Automated systems, as required.

* Design and implement end-to-end automated test scripts for various applications.

* Develops technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

* Develop documentation for automated systems to allow for standardization.

* Work closely with product managers, software developers, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

* Provide training and support to end-users on new automation systems and processes.

* Oversee automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

* Track project milestones and deliverables, managing risks and issues proactively.

REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

* 8+ years of experience in automation engineering/systems.

* Proven track record of leading successful automation projects and teams.

* Capable of technically leading and coaching a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment * Strong understanding of control systems, robotics, and industrial automation.
