Service Technician - Knockacummer, North Cork, Ireland£30,000 plus On Call/OTKnockacummer, IrelandIntroduction Astute are partnered with one of the worlds largest wind turbine manufacturers, to support growth in the business they are looking for Service Technicians to service and maintain on shore wind turbines within the Knockacummer area. Roles & Responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for:Performing maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled according to company manuals and regulations.Perform fault finding, troubleshooting and ad hoc repairs with autonomy when necessary.Carry out more complex repairs/exchanges of components in collaboration with technical support including the lead technician.Conduct all preparations works for maintenance activities.Ensure HSE is a high focus by following the regulations in place at all times.Ensure all equipment including vehicles to ensure all in good working and roadworthy order.Complete any reporting accurately and on time.Complete inventory checks and be responsible for ensuring materials needed are on site.Other required service tasks. Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:HNC, NVQ, Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical training/education.Basic HSE knowledge and ability to develop skill set in this area.Computer literate, using MS office, SAP and inhouse data systems.Working at heights, outside in all conditions.Chester Step would be an advantage.Experienced in understanding technical data to fault find and problem solve.Knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagrams.Must hold valid driving license Salary & Package What's on offer for this exciting role:£30,000 starting salary increasing after full training passed.Mon-Fri working week, with weekends on call (1 in 3)33 days holiday inclusive of Bank HolidaysPension Scheme, Cycle Scheme, EAP SchemeUp to 5% company bonus INDRENAstute Technical Recruitment Limited are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
