Job Description The Global Segment Director role owns the business strategy for the market segment, and effectively positions TOMRA as leader in the segment through innovation and outstanding customer value to drive long-term success and ensure TOMRA achieves its growth and profitability objectives for each segment.

Role and Responsibilities: Strategy and Leadership: Develop and communicate the business strategy for the allocated market segments in line with TOMRA's strategy.

Drive critical business decisions to enhance TOMRA’s value proposition, solution portfolio, go-to-market strategy, business model, and marketing activities informed through deep, meaningful, and future-focused insights in the market segment.

Success in this role highly depends on effective and regular cross-functional collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.

Provide strategic input on product and service roadmaps for each market segment to advance TOMRA’s solution roadmap in line with its customer value proposition for the segment.

Be the expert and primary point of contact within TOMRA’s global organisation concerning all aspects of the segment you hold responsibility for Collaborate in good faith with the Senior Global Segment Director to establish, maintain and evolve harmonised frameworks, methodologies, and ways of working.

Relationship Building: Build and maintain productive, trusted, and professional global relationships with external segment stakeholders with the purpose of identifying growth opportunities, gathering market intelligence and positioning TOMRA as a leader in the segment.

Develop intimate segment knowledge, deeply understand customer needs in the segment, and anticipate trends to inform the segment business strategy Be an active thought leader in the market segment, anticipate industry trends, and develop and effectively communicate TOMRA’s value proposition for the segment through sales and marketing activities.

Segment Innovation: Champion the development and testing of segment-specific product innovations; liaising with customers, application engineering, product management, and R&D to ensure both market and business needs are met.

Strategic Sales Support: Support and coordinate the successful acquisition of large strategic deals with customers in your market segment, globally.

Health & Safety: Promote a “Safety first” culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry.

Ensure adherence to safety and quality across all facets of our operation and customer delivery.

Ensure the team works within agreed operating models, and ensure all decisions are made within agreed authority limits.

Ensure compliance with agreed processes / procedures, controls and address quality and assurance outcomes as required.

Identify, implement and embed any Excellence initiatives to improve quality, performance and efficiency of the team to facilitate outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications About You: At least 15 years' experience in commercial or business development roles, including in leadership roles.

Previous experience in an international organisation for high value capital sales and channel strategy - ideally within the food or food processing industry.

Fluency in English (both verbal and written); any other language is an advantage.

Excellent people manager, inspiring people with drive, energy and enthusiasm.

Proficiency in developing and implementing business strategies to achieve objectives and KPI’s.

Strong networking skills combined with strong capability to build and maintain deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong analytical ability to identify challenges and develop and communicate effective solutions.

Strong product and market knowledge to understand TOMRA products and services for the market segment, discuss technical aspects with customers and internal stakeholders, and communicate the value proposition of TOMRA's solutions effectively.
