As MT Specialist, you will be expected to engage with Vistatec staff, partners and customers in order to better understand their MT requirements. You will be familiar with current localization and MT business practices and be able to identify and create automated language solutions that ultimately enhance end-customer service levels. You will be expected to identify new opportunities for the deployment of MT solutions and apply them to Vistatec’s workflows. You will then monitor and analyse these solutions, making recommendations for improvement. As technology is constantly evolving, you will be expected to keep abreast of the latest developments and be able to assess their suitability to Vistatec’s business model. You will be required to maintain a strategic view of language technology and its evolution whilst also engaging in hands-on operations. You will be required to work closely with other teams on integrating MT into the production workflows. Main Duties & Responsibilities: MT Specialist Evaluate the suitability of MT solutions for Vistatec’s client base Training and retraining of MT Models MT evaluations – Producing the MT output Providing instructions for vendors to perform evaluations Structuring MT content for evaluation – Tools and capturing information Analysing and report on the results Research Keep up to date on MT developments ,testing and proving what the latest ‘hot news is’ Bringing ideas and strategic progress to the MT department Providing progressive solutions Identify and attend suitable conferences, present at select conferences MT Presentations Deliver to external and internal clients Education Document and train operational support staff regarding the solutions you deliver Support the business to produce a seamless experience for all MT related requests Guide MT programs according to the best practices in language technology use Identify and create marketing collateral relating to MT. Keep up to date with Machine Translation Technology offerings and trends; Identification of what customers want in this space and evaluating opportunities offered by new and emerging technologies
