The Position As a Regional Medical Advisor within the Cardiometabolic Therapeutic area you will provide high-quality medical and scientific support to the Novo Nordisk pipeline for the cardiometabolic diseases and obesity, to external healthcare professionals, opinion leaders and customers across Ireland, as well as employees. It includes being involved in managing the current portfolio well as having an impact on our pipeline expansion by bringing new products to the market. The purpose of this role is to drive the implementation of rare disease medical strategies by ensuring that HCPs and KOLs are aware of and understand the scientific basis for and clinical efficacy of our compounds. Your key priorities will include: Engaging with healthcare professionals in a high quality scientific & clinical exchange on current marketed products and development compounds enabling internal and external customers to make informed decisions Establishing relationships with key customers and relevant institutions to increase knowledge of Novo Nordisk products and patient value provided by Novo Nordisk Management and implementation of the Irish KOL engagement plan Medical advisory services for internal customers (medical marketing support, Product and therapy area training, local clinical trial activities and Phase IV activities) For this role you can be located anywhere in Ireland. This position is field-based as it requires local travel 3-4 days in a week as well as attending events such as yearly conferences. We offer a fixed-term contract of 1 year for this position as it is a parental leave. Qualifications Our ideal candidate is a team player and curious professional with strong interpersonal skills. To this role you expect you to bring in: The knowledge of the Irish healthcare system A solid scientific background - MBChB Degree (or equivalent), MSC or PhD in a relevant field Post Registration Experience Relevant knowledge in the Cardiometabolic Therapy area Knowledge of GCP and clinical trial methodology About the Department As a Regional Medical Advisor, you’d report directly to the Medical Manager for Novo Nordisk Ireland. The role sits within the Novo Nordisk CMR team that leads all clinical, medical, and regulatory efforts for Novo Nordisk’s robust portfolio and new products in the pipeline.
