Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining moulding equipment to produce high-quality products while ensuring safety standards and production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities - Production Operations: Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines and related equipment.
Perform quality checks on moulded parts to ensure they meet specifications and standard.
Adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times to optimize production.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime Quality Control.
Inspect finished products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality.
Document quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate production records and quality reports.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality procedures Safety & Maintenance.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform preventive maintenance on moulding equipment.
Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance team for repairs Collaboration.
Work closely with production management and other cross functional departments and team members to meet production goals.
Communicate effectively regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Required Qualifications:2+ years of experience operating injection moulding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
Strong understanding of moulding processes, materials, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Preferred Qualifications: Technical certification in plastics technology or manufacturing.
Experience with specific moulding machine brands (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Sumitomo Demag, Battenfeld)Knowledge of different plastic materials and their properties.
Experience with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment.
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
