Contract / Permanent: FTC 12 Months, With further extension Role: The Resource will provide services alongside other internal Client IT Staff under the direction of the PO with responsibility for IT. The client is seeking the provision of a Senior Oracle Developer specialist to work on the client Oracle applications. These applications are hosted internally, and the data is critical for the provision of the client’s project. The Oracle Developer will be responsible for the development, management and enhancement of existing IT programs and applications. Testing business solutions prior to release and deployment. Providing user support to Business Units on systems deployed. Deployment of software into UAT and release for production systems. Knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports. Experience Level Required: It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed for this role has not less than 7 years relevant experience. Any other experience levels less than this will not be accepted. It is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents: Advanced PL/SQL with 7 years’ experience7 years’ experience in Oracle Development Toolset7 years’ experience Oracle Forms and Reports Key Deliverable: The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role. Assisting with Database design and implementation. Development and maintenance of package code/stored procedures on an ongoing basis to support the IT Systems Development team within the Clients Organisation. Troubleshooting and resolving database problems, including database tuning. Advising developers on best practice and optimal approach in the use of PL/SQL. Identifying any shortcomings of database systems and recommending improvements. Completing assigned tasks related to phases of development lifecycle of applications within scope and timeframe requirements. Mentoring and facilitating skills transfer to Client staff. Assisting in Oracle Upgrade and Migration Projects. Any other tasks which are considered by the Client to be appropriate to the role. Requirements Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets: Experience in the development and maintenance of PL/SQL packages making full use of the latest features in PL/SQL, with specific emphasis on advance PL/SQL. As part of the response, Tenderers must include a minimum of one example. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports, including the creation/modification of forms and also the management of forms server configuration files and the installation of forms. As part of the response, Tenderers must include a minimum of one example. Demonstrate knowledge of Aix & Windows Operating Systems. As part of the response, Tenderers must include a minimum of one example. Demonstrate knowledge with SQL Developer. As part of the response, Tenderers must include a minimum of one example. Demonstrate experience in skills transfer in relation to Oracle forms, reports, and PL/SQL. As part of the response, Tenderers must include a minimum of one example.
