Overview
Based in Carlow, the Health Check GP role is working with one of our key clients in the provision of health check services for its customers. The service is designed to help people identify risk factors, signs and symptoms of common conditions, which if not detected early could result in serious health issues.
The role is for a minimum 10 hours per month contract.

Thursday, Friday – coverage needed
9am – 5pm

Required Qualifications

IMC registered, fully insured and eligible to work in Ireland
Excellent client-centered care to all clients/patients who attend for a Health Check
Ability to work autonomously in providing services when required
Effective communication and liaison with relevant departments as required
Adherence to internal controls and protocols outlined by our Client
Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times
Delivering services within a specified timeframe
Keeping up to date in relevant competencies specific to the role
Ensuring quality and client safety in all aspects of care provided ensuring compliance
Reviewing and implementing changes as required by client
Identifying and communicating in a timely manner any issues to our Client’s management team
Maintaining a professional appearance at all times

Required Experience and Skill Sets

At least 5 years’ experience
Job-specific competencies and knowledge
Excellent interpersonal and management skills
Ability to plan, organise and supervise
Excellent computer skills

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
The role holder will work with our client’s Day Hospital team and will be responsible to deliver approximately 8 health checks per day, including the following:

Allergy History
Medication
Lifestyle Analysis
Family Medical History
Blood Pressure
Weigh-in
Body Mass Index
Spirometry
Respiratory Test
Testicular Examination
Breast Examination
Vision Assessment
Hearing Assessment
Cardiovascular Evaluation
Joint & Muscle Evaluation
Respiratory Evaluation
Central Nervous System
Abdominal Examination

At the end of the health check, our GPs are required to complete a full report for the patient with onward referrals as appropriate.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €80.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekend availability
