This Role May Be Interest To You If You are a GP with an interest in acute care / supporting early discharge from hospital based services A Registrar / SHO who would like to experience acute care within a community setting with opportunities for collaboration, innovation and service development Key Accountabilities Provision of high quality clinical care to patients on the service in the patients home Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated patient centered care Champion clinical excellence and patient-centric healthcare engaging voice of customer and capturing patient reported outcomes To participate in the delivery of effective clinical governance and to ensure that processes are in place which address clinical effectiveness and outcomes, clinical risk, clinical incidents, patient experience and complaints.
Work with the relevant Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) team members to ensure that the design and delivery of enhanced primary care services adhere to H&W QSR policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines (PPPGs) and external standards / statutory requirements (e.g.
HIQA). Essential What you need to be successful Registration with Irish Medical Council Minimum 3 years post internship Desirable Post Graduate qualification MICGP/ MRCGP/ MRCPI or equivalent (ABIM)Eligible for registration with Medical Council as GP or specialist in internal medicine.
Interpersonal skills Ability to source both theoretical and technical information Knowledge of organisation of health services and trends nationally and internationally Experience of managing patients Experience and skills in internal medicine and post-operative procedures Certified Provider with valid licenses in jurisdiction of the service Medical Indemnity Insurance Strong communication and organisational skills – ability to communicate clearly with both patients and families as well as clinical colleagues.
Ability to prioritise across a range of areas including clinical / logistical with the support of the wider team.
