Applications are invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin: Competition ID: 036883 Post: Post-Doctoral Researcher in Mixed Reality and Inclusive Design - School of Media - ARISE Project (Fixed-Term Specified Purpose Wholetime for up to 5 years with initial funding for 2 years) (Reference: 209/2025) Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e.

Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght.

Regular attendance at other sites will be required.

Hours of Work: A 37 hour working week is in operation.

Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Post-Doctoral Researcher Salary Scale i.e.

€48,412 gross per annum.

Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.

Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy.

Closing Date: 11th June 2025 at 5.00 p.m.

(Irish time).

It is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place in week beginning 07th July 2025.

The interview assessment will be 40 minutes in duration and will include a presentation of7 minutes duration.

Experience with immersive technologies (VR/MR/AR) and interaction design.

Strong background in inclusive design, with demonstrable knowledge of gender considerations in UX.

Proficiency in Unity and XR development toolkits.

Familiarity with ROS2 or robotic systems is advantageous.

Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their demonstration of meeting every essential criterion so are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.

Desirable Evidence of a research profile and publication record within the requisite subject area and/or related fields.

Experience of, and commitment to, community engaged research Experience of, and commitment to, working on collaborative projects Evidence of strong collaboration record with diverse partners spanning civil society, government and business Evidence of ability to engage in self-directed learning Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of none, one or more of these desirable criteria and are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.
