The Role & What You Will Be DoingEvery day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Process Operator role will make an impact:Check if required resources are available, including raw materials in correct quantities and correctly labelled; equipment that has been passed by the appropriate personnel for cleanliness and working order; controls and instrumentation; steam at the required pressure; low temperature coolant at the required temperature; drums and labels for intermediate and finished products.Set up the process operating conditions and record procedure.Maintain the process conditions within the prescribed limits by monitoring and recording these conditions with the aid of plant instrumentation and regulating variables.Take samples and carry out certain analyses during the process, such as pH measurements.Diagnose symptoms of actual or impending failure of equipment and utilities and take the appropriate remedial or preventive actions.Report all equipment and utilities maintenance requirements to the Production Manager.Diagnose symptoms of actual or impending contamination or loss of raw materials, intermediate products and final products, in consultation with the Quality Assurance & PD Departments and take the appropriate remedial or preventive action.Maintain a permanent, accurate and full record of all operating conditions and actions.Identify and seek to implement process and safety improvement and perform all tasks in a safe manner.About Your Skills & ExperienceFor this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:Completed Leaving Certificate – Relevant 3rd level qualification preferredExperience in a manufacturing environment preferable.Previous experience in cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) environment preferable.Demonstrated ability to properly problem-solve work-related issues, exercise good decision-making skills and effectively work with team members.A willingness to develop yourself and take on new responsibilities.At Viatris, we are dedicated to building a truly diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t fully align with every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
